Book Reading Room

The National Archives Reading Room is open at full capacity seating-wise.  However, we request that you continue to book an appointment. 

Mask wearing is supported and encouraged but is not mandatory for readers and public service staff.             

Currently opening times are:    Mon-Fri 10:00am-5:00pm    We close for lunch 1:00pm-2:00pm when readers are required to vacate the Reading Room.

To complete a booking you need to have or have applied for a Readers’ Ticket
